Statement On The Passing Of Glen Todd

Mar 29, 2022

It is with profound sadness that Pacific Customs Brokers (PCB) and ABC Customs Brokers (ABC) acknowledge the death of the organizations’ long-time President and Chief Executive Officer Glen Todd, who passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on March 27th.

ABC Customs Brokers was founded in 1954 by Glen’s parents, Jack and Eileen Todd, with Glen taking over as Chief Executive Officer in 1980. He also founded Pacific Customs Brokers and it was under his leadership that both companies grew, with PCB establishing itself as Western Canada’s largest customs brokerage, with 300 full time employees in Canada and the United States.

“Glen Todd’s accomplishments as President of Pacific Customs Brokers and ABC Customs Brokers are surpassed only by his commitment to our community,” said PCB’s President and Chief Operating Officer Greg Timm. "He will be missed greatly, by his beloved family, by the colleagues whom he respected so deeply and by his incredibly broad network of friends across many sectors. Nonetheless, Glen’s legacy will live on. The management team he built is long-tenured and deeply committed to Glen’s community-focused philosophy, and they will carry on that legacy, continuing to build PCB and ABC as one of Canada’s largest and most successful custom brokerage organizations."

Mr. Todd had stepped back from the day-to-day operations of both ABC and PCB in 2014, focusing on his lifelong love of thoroughbred horses and horse racing as well as abundant philanthropic efforts that have impacted the lives of countless people.

Glen was the recipient of countless honours including being inducted into the BC Sport Hall of Fame and the World Baseball and Softball Hall of Fame. In the world of thoroughbred horse racing and breeding Glen was highly regarded and was very proud of having won both the BC Derby (twice) and the Longacres Mile.

About Pacific Customs Brokers: Founded in 1954 by Jack and Eileen Todd, Pacific Customs Brokers has grown into one of Canada’s largest customs brokerages firms. PCB employs over 300 people and serves a diverse client base 24/7 at all commercial ports of entry in the United States and Canada.
