Paperwork requirements differ in each country, but for goods entering into Canada, a commercial invoice will usually suffice. It must be completed properly, showing the total amount of the goods, the currency, country of origin, shipper, consignee and a detailed description of the goods. Also, a North American Free Trade Certificate (N.A.F.T.A.) is required to take advantage of preferential duty rates, when applicable. ABC Customs Brokers has all the forms that are required for shipping on the Internet. Click on the Forms icon, and it will explain how you can register to use these forms. Using the forms ensures accuracy in completing them and decreases phone and fax long distance charges. Certain goods such as meat products, seafood and lumber require other documentation, so please contact us for more information.
